Over recent years, Birds of Tokyo have played big gigs with everyone from Incubus to Keith Urban as well as staging two acclaimed tours with Symphony Orchestras across Australia including multiple sold out shows at stately venues like Hamer Hall and the Sydney Opera House.

Since exploding out of Perth with their indie classic Universes way back in 2008, Birds Of Tokyo have created a body of work that’s struck an extremely broad chord across Australia. They are one of Triple J’s three most played artists of this millennium as well as one of Triple M’s core local artists. The band has appeared on major festivals including Falls, Splendour In The Grass and Red Hot Summer, toured with everyone from Muse to Bon Jovi, Incubus to Keith Urban, two acclaimed tours with Symphony Orchestras across Australia including multiple sold out shows at stately venues like Hamer Hall and the Sydney Opera House and headlined major sporting events from the F1 Grand Prix and NRL’s State Of Origin to the AFL Grand Final (twice). Electric anthems like Lanterns, Good Lord, Plans and Unbreakable has seen Birds of Tokyo grow into one of Australia’s most popular bands.

Tim Rogers formed the first version of You Am I in December 1989, releasing several EPs and singles in the early 90s, with their real breakthrough coming when Lee Ranaldo of Sonic Youth caught the band performing at the 1993’s Big Day Out festival. Ranaldo also produced their debut album, Sound As Ever, which went on to win the 1993 ARIA Award for Best Alternative Release.

You Am I had toured the United States beginning in the mid-’90s, including playing with Soundgarden on the Lollapalooza festival, Redd Kross, The Strokes, and Smoking Popes. (Soundgarden first came across them at the 1994 Big Day Out festival) Despite little success in The States, the band became well known throughout Australia.

Further success came with the albums Hi Fi Way and Hourly, Daily, with both picking up ARIA Awards. Hourly, Daily was the first album released on the Shock label to go to number one in the ARIA charts upon launch. These albums were marked by retro-inspired ’60s bop and folky 12 string melodies, a departure from the band’s earlier hard rock/ grunge sound.

Subtle country influences were apparent on their 1998 #4 Record, that included Heavy Heart. A heart- rending, borderline- karaoke inspired ballad… about being dumped by one’s girlfriend. In July 2009 You Am I came in at #52 with Berlin Chair in Triple J Hottest 100 of all time, voted by the Australian public.

Richard Clapton is one of our finest songwriters. His iconic songs – Girls On The Avenue, Deep Water, Capricorn Dancer, I Am An Island, The Best Years of Our Lives, Lucky Country, Glory Road – have provided the soundtrack to endless Australian summers.

Richard Clapton – Ralph to his mates – has been called “Australia’s favourite hippie”. In his autobiography The Best Years of Our Lives he writes, “I was one lucky hippie”.

During the summer of love, Richard was living in London and Berlin. He owned only two cassettes – Neil Young’s After The Gold Rush and David Crosby’s If I Could Only Remember My Name. “I look back at that whole period of my youth and those years 1966 to 1970 and I think, “wow, talk about being born precisely at the right time.”

Music Is Love (1966 – 1970) is Richard Clapton’s 16th studio album. He has lived – and survived – “the money, the fame and the public acclaim”. In the 80s, he did a six-week tour with Neil Young, and after coming off stage one night, Neil put his arm around him and said, “You’re a bad boy, Ralph. My band hasn’t been to bed for two days. I’m gonna change the name of my tour from Rust Never Sleeps to Ralph Never Sleeps!”

The partying is legendary – INXS’s official autobiography noted that “Clapton was known to party like the Eagles wrapped up in one man” – but the music has always been his first love. Like the protagonist in ‘Midnight Rider’, Richard Clapton has spent his life on the road. “And I’m bound to keep on riding… the road goes on forever.” He was inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame in 1999.

From Daddy Cool to Mondo Rock and as a solo artist with no less than 26 ARIA Top 40 hits to his credit as a singer, songwriter and producer, Ross Wilson is one of Australia’s most awarded, respected and well-known artists! From the legendary band Daddy Cool whose number one anthem Eagle Rock and debut album Daddy Who? smashed all previous sales records in Australia in 1971, to the 1977 formation of Mondo Rock, delivering 80’s hits Cool World, State of The Heart, Chemistry, No Time, and Come Said The Boy and into the 21st century as a solo performer, Wilson has never been out of the limelight. His latest release in 2023 She’s Stuck On Facebook All The Time is a modern day tragicomedy in the blues genre. Twice inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame and 2025 ACE Awards “Original Music Performer of the Year” Winner, Wilson’s live performances are legendary.

A long career in the music industry is much of a rarity these days but Adelaide rockers The Superjesus have managed to hold their place as one of the countries most respected live bands for almost 30 years.

Emerging in the late 90’s and signing to Warners worldwide they released 3 classic albums: Sumo, Jet Age and Rock Music, two of which went platinum. The 3 x ARIA Award winners took a hiatus in the mid 2000s to work on solo projects and reemerged in 2013 to test the waters. Pleased to have found themselves well received by the public they headed back into the studio for 2016’s EP Love And Violence followed by a double live album.

The South Australian Music Hall Of Fame inductees have a strong work ethic and an ear for a good hook. With hits such as Gravity, Secret Agent Man, Down Again and Now And Then under their belt their songwriting has always remained their strong point .

This March The Superjesus released their 4th full length studio album titled The Superjesus *their first in 20 years!). After decades of crafting their sound, the songwriting partnership of Sarah McLeod and Stuart Rudd has truly found it’s sweet spot.

All 5 singles have gained national airplay, setting the mood for this highly anticipated release.

They have kept the beautiful ballad Diamonds for the final single from the album. Here we see The Superjesus like never before, a beautiful emotive stirrer written on the piano showcasing how far the band has come musically, coupled with Sarah McLeod’s classic rich vocals.
