Jimmy Barnes is the heart and soul of Australian rock and roll. He has 22 #1 albums, more than The Beatles, and he has sold more records in Australia than any other local artist. For over 40 years he has delivered some of our most intense and iconic live performances both as a solo performer and as front man for the legendary Cold Chisel, leading him to be inducted into the ARIA Hall of fame … twice. He is truly in a league of his own.

In addition to his phenomenal music career, Jimmy has written four #1 bestselling books – his acclaimed memoirs Working Class Boy and Working Class Man (which won back to back ABIA Awards in 2017 and 2018), his 2020 collection of short stories, Killing Time and Highways and Byways: Tall Tales and Short Stories from the Long Way Round in 2024. Richard Clapton is one of our finest songwriters. His iconic songs – Girls On The Avenue, Deep Water, Capricorn Dancer, I Am An Island, The Best Years of Our Lives, Lucky Country, Glory Road – have provided the soundtrack to endless Australian summers.

Richard Clapton – Ralph to his mates – has been called “Australia’s favourite hippie”. In his autobiography The Best Years of Our Lives he writes, “I was one lucky hippie”.

During the summer of love, Richard was living in London and Berlin. He owned only two cassettes – Neil Young’s After The Gold Rush and David Crosby’s If I Could Only Remember My Name. “I look back at that whole period of my youth and those years 1966 to 1970 and I think, “wow, talk about being born precisely at the right time.”

Music Is Love (1966 – 1970) is Richard Clapton’s 16th studio album. He has lived – and survived – “the money, the fame and the public acclaim”. In the 80s, he did a six-week tour with Neil Young, and after coming off stage one night, Neil put his arm around him and said, “You’re a bad boy, Ralph. My band hasn’t been to bed for two days. I’m gonna change the name of my tour from Rust Never Sleeps to Ralph Never Sleeps!”

The partying is legendary – INXS’s official autobiography noted that “Clapton was known to party like the Eagles wrapped up in one man” – but the music has always been his first love. Like the protagonist in ‘Midnight Rider’, Richard Clapton has spent his life on the road. “And I’m bound to keep on riding… the road goes on forever.” He was inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame in 1999.

From the legendary band Daddy Cool whose number one anthem Eagle Rock and debut album Daddy Who? smashed all previous sales records in Australia in 1971, to the 1977 formation of Mondo Rock, delivering 80’s hits Cool World, State of The Heart, Chemistry, No Time, and Come Said The Boy and into the 21st century as a solo performer, Wilson has never been out of the limelight. His latest release in 2023 She’s Stuck On Facebook All The Time is a modern day tragicomedy in the blues genre. Twice inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame and 2025 ACE Awards “Original Music Performer of the Year” Winner, Wilson’s live performances are legendary.

A long career in the music industry is much of a rarity these days but Adelaide rockers The Superjesus have managed to hold their place as one of the countries most respected live bands for almost 30 years.

Emerging in the late 90’s and signing to Warners worldwide they released 3 classic albums: Sumo, Jet Age and Rock Music, two of which went platinum. The 3 x ARIA Award winners took a hiatus in the mid 2000s to work on solo projects and reemerged in 2013 to test the waters. Pleased to have found themselves well received by the public they headed back into the studio for 2016’s EP Love And Violence followed by a double live album.

The South Australian Music Hall Of Fame inductees have a strong work ethic and an ear for a good hook. With hits such as Gravity, Secret Agent Man, Down Again and Now And Then under their belt their songwriting has always remained their strong point .
